Here's the answer: Listening to Dopesmoker by Sleep. Unless you want to wussy out. According to various sources (a few rock mags, sundry stoners and metalheads), Sleep spent all of their advance, which ranges from 5000 to 1 mil dollars, on a plethora of the most hardcore pot they could find. After smoking all of it in one go they went and recorded Dopesmoker, a single nearly hour long song. They submitted it to their record company and the company proceeded to freak the fuck out. Thus the company edited it and released it as Jerusalem. Eventually Sleep managed to get Dopesmoker put out as they intended. It's a pretty crushing track, it's what Godzilla would sound like as he stomped through whatever hapless country. The only word I can come up to describe the crushing tempo is menacing.
