The funniest thing I've read all day is the title of an article from Popular Science, "So We Put a Jet Turbine On Our ATV..." The basic concept is that some guy put a fucking jet turbine on an ATV; a glorious kind of madness. The "You Built What?!" catgory has all sorts of awesome things, the kind of things that make it popular science. One more Popular Science article, this one is Colored Bubbles Have Landed (and Popped and Vanished).
